Snohomish Education Foundation Awarded over $67,600 in Scholarships in 2009!
Describing this year’s Snohomish High School graduates as “exceptional”, the Snohomish Education Foundation (SEF) announced it awarded 103 scholarships totaling more than $67,600 to 93 SHS seniors.
Celebrating its 23rd year of operation, the Snohomish Education Foundation raises funds for Snohomish school children to pay for everything from shoes for needy kids to classroom grants for teachers to college scholarships for deserving Snohomish School District grads who otherwise would not have the means to further their education. Since 1996, the Foundation has awarded over $436,000 in scholarships to SHS graduates.
SEF Trustee, Marian Berge said, “The class of 2009 has students that are outstanding, both academically and athletically. We have students that plan to be machinists as well as physicians. The community of Snohomish should be proud of our graduates.”
This year 4 new scholarships were awarded: the Totem Falls PTO Scholarship, the Raymond “Dick” Daly Memorial Scholarship (2), and the Cascade View PTA Scholarship SEF also awarded two scholarships this year to 2 AIM High School students.” Thank You to the following Scholarship Donors and Congratulations to the Following Snohomish High School Seniors!
