The SNOHOMISH EDUCATION FOUNDATION is a nonprofit organization that helps students realize their potential through classroom grants, scholarships, and program funding. We know that opportunity and excellence in the schools ultimately strengthen our community.
Our History:
The SNOHOMISH EDUCATION FOUNDATION was founded in 1986 by Marian Berge and Mal Harding, to provide broader educational opportunities for students and teachers of the Snohomish School District. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that invests community resources to help students achieve academic success.
There is simply not enough public money to provide the kind of education we want for our children. Come join us and help bring greater education opportunities to the students in Snohomish public schools!
What We Do:
Grants that inspire learning…
The Foundation’s grant program reflects our commitment to expanded opportunities by recognizing and rewarding creative ideas that improve education experiences of our students. Grants have supported a variety of reading and literacy programs, technology, and the arts and sciences. We have awarded $2,042,675 in classroom grants since 1996.
Scholarships that support continued education…
Each year the stories are different, but the desire and determination of our scholars remains the same. Our students have big dreams and through the support of our community, the Foundation is helping them reach their goals for higher education. Since 1992, the Snohomish Education Foundation has awarded 738 Snohomish High School graduates over $690,000 in scholarships. Scholarships are awarded for both vocation, two-year and four-year academic programs.
